Busan is the second biggest city in Korea, after Seoul.  There are many foreigners come here as a tourist. This is because there are many famous tourism places in Busan. After visiting Seoul, tourists used to go to Busan because of the natural tourism destination in Busan, such as the beaches.

But, you know what? There are many other tourism destinations in Busan that most people don't know (especially foreigners). I call it "hidden tourism", because I even knew about these places after 1-2 years living in Busan as a student. Most of the available information in internet about these places are in Korean, so I think that's the reason why not many foreigners know about it. 

But don't worry!! Now I am going to share about these "5 Must-Visit Hidden Tourism Destinations in Busan Most Foreigners Don't Know" in english.

1. Leisure World Paragliding

This is the first hidden spot u must visit. Try to enjoy Busan from the sky!!!! I mean, literally from the sky. You know what? There is paragliding tour in Busan. 

The price is between 100,000 - 130,000 won, depends on the place where you do paragliding. In my case, I paid 120k won to paraglide in Yeongdo Island 45 mnts from PNU. It took around 1 hour from the pick-up place, a little hiking, fliying, then landing. I think the flying part is only 20 mnts. But it feels quite long. 

Anyway, paragliding is so amazing. It's like we are being tied with a kite and the world right under our feet. The view from up there is so cool.

2. Yacht Tour

Busan is famous with the beaches, like Haeundae, Gwangali, Dadaepo, and others. Enjoying the beach is fun. But if you used to live in Busan and feel bored to just seeing the beach from seashore, here is another tips. Try to enjoy the beach from Yacht. There are many Yacht Tour options in Busan. But I found the cheapest one called Yacht G Tour. It's so amazing. 

The yatch will take you from Haeundae beach, Bay 101, and also Gwangali beach in an hour. And you can also see the iconic Gwangali bridge right from under of it. 

The price is only 12,000 won per person for joint-in tour. You can also have Yacht tour privately, but of course the price will be higher. 

You should book first by contacting 010-9117-7405 to know the available date and time. Usually u will have 2 options between 3 pm or 8 pm. I prefer 3 pm because since corona, i like to travel under the sun. Lol. However, Busan view at night is also amazing. After contacting them, buy the ticket at yachtg.co.kr 

That's all. Then at D-day you can come to the yacht port near Dongbaek-station.

3. Gimhae Dongsang Market Area

If you live in Seoul and you miss international atmosphere, you can go to Itaewon. But in Busan, I think you can go to Gimhae Dongsang Market area. This place reminds me a lot of Itaewon. Because all the way I can see here are foreigners. 

There are many halal restaurants too, like restaurants from Indonesia, India, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, etc. Not only that, Gimhae Dongsang Market area also provides many international stores which mostly from south east asia like Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines, etc, and also from Central Asia like Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, etc. Thus, you can find halal meats too here. 

Oh ya, you can even find a Mosque too here. It's Al-Barokah Mosque. See! This place is really similar with Itaewon.

4. Hwangryeong Mountain

This is the peak of 황령산 (Hwangnyeong-Mountain). We hiked around 1-2 hours to reach this place. But it is totally worth. The view from up there are amazing. 

At evening we can see sunset with a full 360 degree landscape. And at night, the light of Busan city combine with the stars, it's really fascinating. We can see Gwangali bridge too from here. When we hiked down, we were suddenly in Pukyong National University area. Haha.

5. WaveOn Cafe

I have been living in Busan for almost 2 years but I just knew about this WaveOn Cafe. Maybe because it's located quite far from my campus. It's located in Gijang-Gun, 2 hours by bus from PNU. Lol. 

However, it's totally worth to go there. This cafe is located in the sea cliffs, so the view from there is so fascinating. If u have been bored with cafe in the downtown, just go to countryside. It's also outdoor, so atleast it can minimize the risk of corona infection.

The price in this cafe is like a common cafe, you can get a drink between 5,000 - 10,000 won
