5 APPS EVERY FOREIGNER IN KOREA SHOULD HAVE

Hello...  are you an alien in Korea? I mean foreigner. -_-.

Don't know korean at all?

Or...

Don't wanna meet humans?

Well. lucky you.. I am going share to you about various apps that you can download and will definitely help  your life in Korea (or help you to avoid hooman. lol).

Let's get started!

1. Kakao Pay

It's in one with your kakaochat, don't need to download separately

It's like paypal but in korean version. It's connected with your kakaochat (which is number 1 chat app in Korea) and also connected with your Korean bank. Very easy to use and mostly Korean also use this. You can transfer money without any certificate. You can split restaurant bill with your friends easily. Pay your electricity. etc.

2. Kakao Taxi

Download here

It's just an app that allow you to order taxi online. But hey, with this app you don't need to bother yourself to speak korean calling the taxi's driver. You just use your finger to tap and tap your current location and your destination in Digital Maps. The taxi's driver will come to you and take you to your place. Don't worry! you will know the taxi's plate number through the app.

3. Yogiyo

Download here
This is one of my favorite app. When you're hungry but too lazy to go outside. Calling the restaurant for delivery sucks! Again, with this app you can just tap and tap. Choose your food, input your address, then done. This app provides almost all restaurant around your current location. So, don't be confused between pizza or burger anymore. You can order more than that.

4. Internet Banking and its Virtual Card App

After making korean bank account, don't forget to make internet banking as well. If it's too complicated for you, ask the bank to register it for you right away after making the account. They will guide you from the installation until verification. Don't forget to ask them to help you about virtual card app installation as well. Trust me, you will need this. In korea almost all the people don't use cash. You need internet banking because it ease you to track your income or expenditure. Plus, if you used to do online shopping, it will help you a lot.

5. Google Maps

No need to download, I am sure your phone already has it. Haha.

Actually not only in Korea, everywhere you go you will need Google Maps. Haha. But, unlike in my country.. In my country, usually Google Maps is not that accurate and doesn't provide complete and update locations or transportation schedule. In korea, Google maps provide details and real time schedule of the public transportation, like bus or subway. Even the price as well. So ya, you should have this. Actually there is Kakao Maps, it's as good as Google Maps, but it's in Korean language. Haha.
